The name Model Horror refers to a pretty girl that turned out to be a ghastly mistake. According to Ian, “the songs and what we do are fuelled by interaction, living for the moment… Sometimes it’s good and others it’s down right scary.” The music and imagery they create feeds off of their experience of growing up in small town England, where dark secrets and hidden lives are concealed behind manicured lawns and polished MPVs.

With a growing army of supporters, including Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens on Radio 1 who the band have recently recorded a session for, the buzz is spreading. Live shows have included a summer rave on the beach in Cornwall, playing by torch light in Epping Forrest and more conventional supports alongside Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Autokratz and Look See Proof.

‘We Are Here’, the band’s debut single, will be released through This Is Fake DIY Records on 17th March 2008. Backed with ‘Stand Still’, it will be available on limited edition 7” vinyl and as a digital download.
