4 Or 5 Magicians are a four (or five) piece from Brighton. They take most obvious influence from the likes of Pavement, Dinosaur Jr, Guided By Voices, Nirvana, The Pixies and Built To Spill, but could write a list as long as your arm of bands who have influenced them, and even then you’d have to have a pretty long arm, and a pretty small pen.

Upon recording their first demo in June 2006, Radio 1’s Huw Stephens invited the band to record a session at Maida Vale studios. They then released their debut single through Alcopop!’s singles club, and now their second single ‘Change The Record’ / ‘Ideal Man’ will be released on a double A-side limited run of vinyl, and digital download, through This Is Fake DIY Records.
