Some Popular Workshop Reviews (and ‘Other Stuff’)
Since the release of new Popular Workshop single, Her Birthday, some nice words have been said.
If the scanner in the office worked properly we'd be able to show you what the lovely people over at Artrocker said, but for now try The Skinny, Last Broadcast, The Beat Surrender and Room Thirteen.
If you've said equally nice things and want a quick mention, drop us a line and let us know.
Hopefully some of you were at the band's gig at the Buffalo Bar last Saturday (31st Jan). Here is a picture of the band's drum kit from that very night.

Now, Other Stuff! There are lots of pictures of We Are The Physics on their Japanese tour about - and while not strictly ours to talk about, some are so damn funny we couldn't not share. You can find some here, and some here.
Plus! Manda Rin has a FREE show in Glasgow next month, read details on her blog, here. -

Franz love WATP, Bath loves Popshop (sort of)
A quick couple of links that have made their way to DIY Records HQ in the past few hours, firstly Franz Ferdinand didn't just love We Are The Physics enough to have them as support at their recent Edinburgh gig (some photos of that are here, if you're interested), but they also found time to give them a quick mention during an interview with Jim Gellatly for Radio Magnetic.
Meanwhile, Popular Workshop (playing down at Brixton Windmill tonight, no less) got a short but sweet mention in a live review of their recent support slot with Televised Crimewave at Bath Moles last week. -
Popular Workshop Celebrate ‘Her Birthday’
We're excited to announce that the next single from Popular Workshop will be 'Her Birthday', and will be released on 2nd February 2009 (2009?! Already?!).
It is taken from the London-based trio's debut album, We're Alive And We're Not Alone', released back in October, and produced, of course, by super-producer type, Steve Albini.

ALL OF THIS AAAAND We've hand-written all the labels for the disks/diskettes so that it looks like you bought it from a stall in 1998.
