Manda Rin will release her new single ‘DNA‘ digitally on August 18th, and on lovely 7″ vinyl on August 25th. Album ‘My DNA‘ will follow on September 8th.

The b-side on the single will be ‘My Love’s Your Love‘ (no, it’s not a cover), whilst the tracklisting for the album will be as follows: ‘DNA‘, ‘Typeface‘, ‘Bad Things Happen to Bad People‘, ‘Guilty Pleasure‘, ‘Do The Static‘, ‘The Word Out‘, ‘Break-up/Breakdown‘, ‘Love to Hate You‘, ‘No Language‘, ‘Less Than Zero‘, ‘Blackbook‘ and ‘Bruises‘.

Popular Workshop Single & Tour

Popular Workshop have been keeping busy. They followed up a nationwide tour with Art Brut in February by flying to Chicago the next day to record their debut album with Steve Albini at Electrical Audio studios, which will be officially birthed unto the world in September, entitled ‘We’re Alive, And We’re Not Alone’. The first fruits of this work will be the single ‘PopSong’, released on July 7th.

The band embark on a mini tour to support the release, the dates of which are:

WATP & Duels In The Papers

There’s all sorts of great DIY press around at the moment. Other than the Artrocker stuff, there was a brilliant ‘OK At Music’ album review in the Independent on Sunday last week, and Duels have had similarly glowing reviews in The Guardian, Sun, NME, Q and Clash. Ok, so those last few aren’t newspapers. It’s still good news though, no?
